Good luck next week both. It's been refreshing to hear about you guys progressing through the process successfully thus far (and making the final stage is an achievement in itself
). There are so few schemes at the moment that its nice to see the dream is still alive somewhere and despite the downturn someone can still get that magic phonecall
. It's a hell of a feeling
I don't know Flybe's stage 4 but the other companies that I did it for were all similar to ea other and along predictable lines: talk them through your life or cv, what are your motivations, do you have the maturity to approach the training sensibly, what do you know about the company, could they sit next to you in a cockpit for a whole day, do you really understand the practicalities of the job you're going for (odd hours etc), how will you finance the training, name a couple of mistakes you've made, what are you weaknesses, maybe a situation which they'll ask you how you'd deal with (eg Capt smells of drink), what would you bring to the company, what is the 1st officer's role, team-working & leadership examples, what would your friends say about you etc etc
