Someone should really dig out a link to the threads that ran on this in October - any chance WWW or Scroggs?
It seems to me much like a pyramid scheme. Hundreds will lose £147 and one lucky winner will get a course. Personally I like to buy the odd lottery ticket as for a £1 it allows me some fun dreaming. I don't think £147 for the dream of a free ATPL is worth it though.
My concern would be in the final selection. I would be worried that the lucky winner who gets 'selected' is not the son of friend of the chap who runs the scheme. After all, its run by pilots (apparently) who have pilot friends. At least one or two of them will have sons and daughters in the applicable age range who might very well like to follow in Daddys footsteps...
I am a cynical old coot but then its not a fair world.
