I applied originally in December 2008 and I start college on 3rd Feb 2010, but I had work commitments to get around etc, I think it could possibly be done quicker but other people would probably be able to tell you from their own experience.
People passing stage 3 just now are waiting 6 months to start so I would expect that it's at least 7-8 months but again I'm not 100% on this
