Jan. 19 for their upcoming deployment. The 24th MEU Marines and Sailors embarked vessels of the Nassau Amphibious Ready Group, marking the onset of their six-month deployment. The 24th MEU is among the most versatile military units in the world and stands ready to perform a full spectrum of missions ranging from humanitarian relief to full-scale combat operations.
