So BA Cabin Crew would you settle for:
All box payments amalgamated into salary.
An hourly rate for every hour airborne
An hourly rate for every hour away from base
This would mean it wouldn't matter where you went, but some destinations would lose, others gain. The tax rate would be lower though.
A new rostering agreement allowing electronic swaps and overtime work pick up, in exchange for protection at roster publication but the expectation by BA that you would work to legal limits on the day. Less MBTR as now you have 900 hour protection it isn't needed for full timers.
In other words the pilot's agreement.
We have run this for several years, and given we have over 3000 very stroppy individuals, there have been remarkably few complaints.
If BALPA always get a sweetheart agreement, ask yourselves why BASSA hierarchy aren't in favour of this?
