I learned with QFE. The problem is you have to use QNH as well. There you are trying to work out when you should be on QFE or QNH, tying to work out the difference when you get to the airfied, setting and resetting QNH and QFE, 'err err errr, now what was that, QFE or QNH?...' the potential for errors is enormous.
