David it was 42 deg.C today and even now at 2130 hrs it's 38 deg.C. I think the synapses have fried.
Looks remarkably similar to the Travelair 4000 Mechta, but no. This 3-seater was designed by R.T McCrum who was responsible for the American Eagle biplane.
Six of these 3-place biplanes were built, five with the OX5 and one with a Wright (as per the silhouette). The prototype was flight tested by Charles Lindbergh and "Hap" Arnold.
