Area 51, I understood BOH were waiting for further deliveries of de-ice fluid before they could depart and the limited stock they did have was being used to protect normal scheduled flights. In this prolonged cold weather it is best practice to disconnect the aircraft batteries of the a320 family if left parked for more than 24hours so I assume this is why engineers may have attended the aircraft.
