The Canadian conversion is dead easy - you can write off in advance to Transport Canada (
www.tc.gc.ca) , and they will send you through a Foreign Licence Validation certificate.
Then that's it - you can fly C reg planes with no further hassle (though of course any club will want to do a checkout).
Don't know where you're headed, but I recommed Canadian flight Academy, based in Oshawa, about 40 miles east of Toronto.
