To apply to Emirates, candidates must have a minimum of 4000 total and 2000 multi-engine jet hours (preferably with MTOW of 55t), ICAO ATPL and ICAO English level (4 or above)
Also useful: to be willing to be abused, lied to, generally treated with no respect, underpaid, go without long periods of sleep, be put up in temporary cr*p accommodation to be followed by more cr*p accommodation, go without long periods of sleep, spend a very long time in the RHS and get scr**ed before any chance of a command, have no management support, go without sleep, have contract terms and conditions adjusted as and when they feel like it, have no rights, did I mention sleep or lack thereof? As for the
excellent end-of-service benefits
.. it's definitely not financial just the fact you don't have to work for them any more and you can finally get some proper sleep.

As for permanent positions... you'd be better looking at Etihad to improve your seniority in the 'new, soon to be created national airline of the UAE.'
