This formula works for me. Will calculate the difference between today's date and your birthday in cell A2.

=DATEDIF(A2,TODAY(),"y")&" years "&DATEDIF(A2,TODAY(),"ym")&" months "&DATEDIF(A2,TODAY(),"md")&" days"
