I can tell you I have been here about 6 months. I have never had a late payment nor do I know anyone here who has not been paid for previous month's flying. My payments have always been a few days early. I have heard a few cases where the airline said to show up for training on xx date and then started payroll a few days later, but didnt seem to be the norm.
They do want you to use HSBC, but will send the money anywhere. They pay the transfer fees the first month and then ask you to pay if you don't want to use HSBC. I have my money sent home and it costs me about 30US for the HSBC transfer fee and 10US for my home bank. If you use HSBC in HKG theres no charge at all.
I guess I dont understand all the negativity on this thred. An agent can only do what the airline does. In my experience wasinc was helpful and provides support when/if I need it.
