In the 70's they were issuing Omegas, which sounded good but were in fact rubbish - at least mine was. I soon took to leaving mine in the sock drawer and wearing my £10 HK bought Seiko, which was more accurate and had the additional advantage of being self-wind. Never been impressed with "name" watches since then - got an issue Pulsar for £50 off ebay for daily use and it's good enough for me.
