Although the former reference mentions various 1930's projects , it does not specifically mention the subject. This was called the Durotofin and dates from 1934. The novel feature was that the rotors , driven from a central engine, would tilt, in the manner of the Bell XV-3, XV-15 & V-22 Osprey. I only found one on-line reference and that was on a camera website, cameras being another field he had been active in.
