I can remember when I was at the Lazy B during the 767 program and hardly anything came out from Flight Test - even when they had major problems like hydraulic failure (tech moved a union to the drawing position but it had been carefully repositioned so as not to foul...) or slats not strong enough (Paine Field is one of the few strips you can land on from below coming up Whisky Creek). My guess is it's just standard Boeing practise. BTW Mick, wonder which bird our ex-colleague will be flying?
