Yes years ago Bournemouth had sometimes upto 30 diversions and dealt with them accordingly with aircraft parked all over the place and an amazing site to see Laker DC10 , SAS A300 Airbus , 12 BA Tridents all lined up etc but those days at the moment cant happen
I seem to remeber that in the good old days the coaches hired in to transport pax back to LGW/LHR were escorted out to the aircraft parked up on the disused. Guess that would never be allowed these days. (Bring back BIAS and Mr RP !)
