Have to agree on the above post , no airport has staff on standby waiting for possible diverts

Monday was a normal day with the usual 3 arrivals scheduled for in the evening , with i guess the appropriate number of staff to deal with those paticular flights .

At the moment the airport is going through a massive re development with many areas closed off and being re built to what will hopefully be a better experience and recources for customers but at the moment its a building site

To suddenly have close on 1500 passengers , 9 flights land in close proximity is pretty over whelming with almost every passenger wanting individual attention is just impossible to cope with when you have just a few staff on duty and the logistics of sorting hotels / buses / bags off etc is bloody hard

Yes years ago Bournemouth had sometimes upto 30 diversions and dealt with them accordingly with aircraft parked all over the place and an amazing site to see Laker DC10 , SAS A300 Airbus , 12 BA Tridents all lined up etc but those days at the moment cant happen

Bournemouth is a great airport for Fuel and Go and with 12 new stands now available hopefully they will see more of this but at the moment off loading passengers is a problem when there are not enough staff

Well done to those on duty that evening though
