Well there are two things you might need to know...
As a pilot, when you're flying around CVT there is no need to contact CVT Radar or Birmingham Radar (unless you go into their airspace)... Moreover you can go overhead CVT at 500' if you want, no problem at all, as sadly, the ATZ as been indefinitely suspended by CAA and that was stated on the NOTAMS today.
They're trying to sell Coventr out. According to rumors, it is not an official source, if they can't sell Coventry within this week, the Airport will close forever.
That's what I know but I hope they'll give it more time than just 5 days... I basically live in CVT airport, I go there everyday, and now it's more or less like a ghost town...
You can see everywhere worried faces, and no one is happy to be in such a pending situation, risking redundancy, so close to Christmas.
It's time to wait and see; and we can just hope as the final decision is out of our power (unless there's someone here that can buy CVT!)
