Hi guys,

Shouldn't really be doing this but thought I would help you out with some interview insight as I know how hard it is to think of examples on the spot.

I had the final TC interview the other day. I can't remember every question but I can remember a few:

*When have you had to work to targets? (Remember that they are very sales focused and want you to sell as much as much duty free as possible onboard)
*When have you dealt with a last minute change? (Here they want you to demonstrate your coping methods and how you re-prioritised workload etc)
*When have you worked under intense pressure?
*When have you gone out of your way to help a colleague? (Teamwork, compassion, adaptability)
*When have you had developmental feedback and how did you cope with it? (Here they want you to demonstrate resilience, i.e. when you've received negative feedback but bounced back from it and didn't let it affect your performance).

Remember they want specific examples told to them in a story form with a start, middle and end.

I don't want to dissapoint you guys but I got an acceptance email after the final interview saying they are delighted to inform me that I have met all the criteria but esentially they have over-recruited and don't have a position for everyone and they will let me know in due course whether they have a position for me.

So don't be surprised if you get placed into a pool of 'successful' candidates. Also, as they will tell you on the assesment day, the chances of being kept on for the winter period are very slim as they are so much busier in the summer so probably best to go into it with a view of it being a fixed term contract with a chance to go back in the summer 2011.

On the plus side if you are one of the fortunate people that get made permanent they have some fab trips in the winter and apparantly TC is one of the better paid charter airlines.

The recruiters are lovely people though so no worries there - they do their absolute best to put you at ease. I sat and spoke to my recruitment lady mostly about Xfactor and she was lovely. Just remember they want warm, friendly, personable people - most of them are cabin crew and they need to imagine themselves working with you.

Also in my experience they take a while to get back to you on both stages.

Best of luck.
