I think the point that TheRealSlimShady was making (and I am not necessarily saying that the ex bmed routes should be binned or not) was that BA havent shown a big interest in these markets. When BMed was being sold BA did not go after it and unlike in the case of when GB was sold BA didnt go or apply for licences to apply for these routes ie the ex Bmed ones. There was a general commentary on here and in the aviation media that those routes were difficult to make a return on for various reasons and some to a lesser or greater extent eg political unrest etc.
