Ah...the elusive Pitcairn PA-7S. Does the "S" in PA-7S mean "Sport", or "Super Sport"? Chevrolet's designation of "SS" would have made it easier. My 35 years experience in dealing with aircraft designations has led me to conclude that it is indeed a Pitcairn of a certain "S" designation.
Regardless of the specific model, that is one beautiful aircraft
