As far as I am aware, none of the others are up for sale so unlikely. MAN is a big airport, but alone would not cause a problem. I'm sure the monoploies and mergers commision will have looked at this and this may be why Aviance was packaged in chunks for sale?

Menzies Handle:

Aer Lingus
Air Southwest
American
bmi Baby (Ramp)
Cyprus
easyJet
Icelandair
Aurigny
German Wings

Volume is no longer the key to the industry. Contracts have to be priced to make profit on their own or the loss of the major contract can cause major problems for any handler.

Just because Aviance have gone (from Jan) it doesn't mean the contracts will all stay with SA. As has been said many times before, there is likely to be a clause in most contracts allowing terminaltion under such circumstances.

There are likely to be movers and shakers throughout the UK stations where there are competitors already set up, or even allow a foot in the door in places which were only Aviance previosly.
