When you account for the Servisair buyout of Aviance, it makes for scary reading for anyone not employed by Servisair. They are basically a law unto themselves. There is NO way that other handling agents can even be REMOTELY competitive now with Servisair. Furthermore, should anything happen to Servisair and they collapse overnight (not saying that it will happen but in this volatile industry it certainly COULD), the airport would be in for one hell of a wake up call! I wonder if the Competition Commission is looking into this purchase?

Now Swissport is certainly in no position to buy up the "little guys" so what is to stop Servisair from gobbling up the other competitors (Menzies, FS and PH) and driving Swissport off the airport, and having themselves a monopoly at one of Europe's largest airports? I personally find this rather disturbing!
