Yes, unfortunately the airport lies just within Warwickshire and the county council has firmly stood against any expansion, including a new terminal building. Coventry City Council who owned the airport until the mid 90's have always supported the airport. There is a "Nimby" attitude from few residents in rural Warwickshire which have done their best for several years to close the airport. I hope that AAG or similar get the funds together to operate it themselves.
