Is the quality of the product between Alteon, AirNZ, Pan Academy and Aeroservices really that different? I would have thought that as a standard A320 type rating, they would have just provided exactly what the OEM recommended (no more and no less)?
I have heard rumours from third parties within JQ that a number of pilots who saved money with the foregin type rating have failed line checks in Oz and NZ during 2009. I've got no hard facts, but welcome anyone who has the real story on whether it really was the quality of the training.....
