HAL academy offers CHPL. Estimated completion time through them is 20-24 months as quoted in their website.. Usually, the figures quoted in websites are rather optimistic. The hire rate for the most basic trainer is 30,000. So the minimum cost to you, if you complete your training in 150hrs, is 45 lacs. Add 25 lacs to that for the type conversion training. That makes 70 lacs.
that is a big number.
Now have a look at what they pay you. Subtract from that payments on the 45 lac CHPL training loan, previous 20 lac CPL (A) loan, and 25 Lac Type conversion repayments. You will find that it works out to be a negative number.
