45 lacs seems true to me.May be that is the reason why so many Helicopter Pilots in aviaton field are from defence forces only. too expensive. And that too with thousands of hours when they plan to step into commercial flying.
Alternative. For a person having 150 hrs PIC on aircraft.
Fly 350 hrs PIC in US @ 120$ (= 6000INR approx) = 21 lacs
Fly 30 hrs on Helicopter @ 30000 INR = 9 lacs
TOTAL =30 Lacs plus inc miscellaneous 5 lacs = 35 lacs . still expensive.
Pawan Hans is a well performing PSU. still dont understand their logic behind their induction of CPL(A) for helicopters.
