Not in Africa, but UK -
As SLF I flew back to Exeter after a holiday last summer. At the end of a looong final, from en-route cruise level all the way down to the runway threshold with engines throttled back to idle, the captain announced "Thank you for flying FlyBe with our all-girl crew today".
