This WAS very good money in the former existence of countries like Romania etc, but of course now it is cr@p, albeit more than most earn.
My significant other's brother is a Prof in a university in Bucuresti, he earns about 350€ a month. A nice appartment is about 1000€ a month
AFAIK, so we are in the same sh1t as everyone else . . . nearly.
In my current home country the average wage for someone in a normal job is around 900€, a two bedroomed apartment cost 500-600€ a month to rent. Supermarket prices are higher than in neighbouring France, crap schools, crap health care, pay to use the Autovia, well, the sun shines at least.
Can't help thinking that our life in Europe now, isn't just a trial to acclimatise us to the cr@p we will live when we are finally taken over by the Chinese.
