SMB ran his own company at his own (and LH+SAS) risk to maximise his own gain, not build a world airline. The whole business was run to support mainline LHR operations and more importantly its slots, because with out the slots it was worth nothing. Luck played a big part but his timming was spot on, he has done nothing wrong or illegal. All of his emplyee's have been paid every month and the call to freeze the 3 year pay deal was not at his behest.
I am not saying he left the company in the best of health,but with a buyout call/put he was always going it was only when? What baffels most is the lack of oversight that the 50%-1 share, share holders appear to have had, they seem surprised by what the have found, even the staff now for the chop must have seen it coming, i don't even blame the various CEO's including the current, they have always had to have had SMB approval and his game plan was always his own.
All will now change for the better and under performing employee's and managers will be shown the door
