Nope - just feel a need to impart facts.

Do you suffer from the need to mouth off at people who state facts?

I'll repeat them - just to keep you nice and calm.

Fact is, the bmi pension isn't inflation proofed. 3% max for service before 1997, then 5% max. Sharp rise in inflation forecast by every financial source you care to check.

Ignoring the facts won't save you. You need to face the facts and work out what to do. Do I grab a lump sum (if its offered, that is)? Do I accept the frozen pension? Do I retire now? Can I transfer the pension to some other employer? How safe will the wind up arrangements be? What do I replace the FS pension with for the rest of my working life?

Get real. Its a serious issue. Or, more accurately, it will be a serious issue when you're sixty. Having a go (or a poor attempt at a go) at me won't pay the bills.
