The number's still don't add up and they haven't touched the short haul program in the UK
I don't understand what they are doing with Regional, it seems that 50+ of their pilots are at risk of redundency yet some seem to think only one aircraft and 6 jobs are going? everyone at all bases except Chester (Airbus contract) have had a at risk letter.
Leeds is worst affected with numbers required going from 15 Captains to just 4 & 12 F/o positions to just 4, but all bases having positions cut.
Down at LHR the word is that some mainline flight deck will fly the jungle jet at LHR saving some off the 130+ flight deck positions other say that 130 is on top the 50+ regional pilots, 180 pilots would imply 12-15 units going 130-50=80 going would imply 8 aircraft going which is what the press statement said??
So are BALPA mainline going to allow 130 jobs in LHR to go and still have 5 aircraft (ERJ'S) crewed by regional flying in and out of LHR can't see that are Regional BALPA going to have 50 pilot jobs go and have mainline crews replace them?? what a mess
