As I understand, everyone that operates out of LHR got a letter, even roles that are not being considered for redundancy, such as the long haul CSM role, despite a 66% fleet reduction
. Outstations are unaffected by the cuts, and so didn't receive a letter.
Normally I would expect the selction process to be fair and well thought out, but that just isn't going to happen.
Question. If LIFO were to be considered as one of the criteria, what would happen in the following scenario?
Staff Member one.
Cabin crew length of service: 2 years
Flight Soup length of service: 6 months
Staff Member two:
Cabin crew length of service: 1 year
Which staff member would be given his P45, being in mind that staff member two has been in his/her CURRENT role the longest? Hmmm.....
