The second photo you showed is an Australian machine. Is that correct?
You are quite correct it was one of 28 Wapiti IAs sold to the Royal Australian Air Force. The change in designation signified the embodiment of a number of modifications: including a new divided axle main undercarriage in which each wheel was carried on a stub-axle on a triangulasted structure, increased wing stagger and the use of a geared 480 hp Jupitoer VIII engine.
