Congrats Wriggler. I'm only a few lessons into the PPL, so can only imagine the feeling!
Glad you posted the hour build question. I'm currently reasearching the matter. At the moment I'm looking at doing the ATPL exams at home so will have 12 - 18 months to build hours. I am looking at buying a share of a 152 as there seem to be a few around for between £2500 to £3500. This is technically an investment as you can sell the share and will get this money back when you have built your hours. Then your flying is roughly £30 - £35 hour + monthly syndicate fees. All seems too cheap to me so if anyone can add anything else please do.
P.S. For the distance learning I will be using Bristol. They are constantly being recommend and a search on PPrune gives excellent feed back.
