Also, isn't it max 6 in the circuit at any one time?
yep - 6 in one circuit (one runway) doing circuits - 6 arrivals and departures in the other circuit (
other runway).
take away one runway and you still have the 6 arrivals and departures - something has to give (and that something is the number doing circuits)
