Contrary to what the article states this aircraft has been confirmed as an Ardmore Glasair resident with an unfortunate history behind it.
This happens to be opposite the road from where I used to live, but still have family, friends etc. in the Auckland suburb of Bucklands Beach
. Good job bringing it down where he did, and that no one is injured!
