Agree, about the market on that particular route (and also worth bearing mind as many bmi flights from BRU are to non-LHR destinations: EDI, LBA, EMA...) However, eastbound SN flights from the UK serving an SN hub to onward SN destinations under the SN brand (as already at MAN, BHX, NCL etc) makes more sense overall than bmi branded flights westbound of which only those to LHR serve a hub and, even then, mostly to non-bmi onward flights.
Hopefully if the brand does switch to SN the whole lot will be done as a wetlease, as you suggest, otherwise it is bad news, especially for Regional.
