if you haven't got excel you can download a complete office suite for free including an excel compatible spreadsheet programme. it is called sun star office and you can download it from
www.sun.co.uk they have also just released a new version although that costs £50 but it is just as good as microsofts £400 suites. they also have a UK telephone number 0800 731 0658 hope this helps you out.
