The thing with Amsterdam is that there's not really enough point to point traffic for a carrier like Aer Arann.
Over half the passengers on ORK-AMS and almost that number on DUB-AMS are connecting on to other locations. So you really need to get a KLM codeshare to make it work.
Sadly, the best opportunity for SNN-AMS was probably CityJet.
