I went to Perth at the end of 1999 and did my preparation and flight checks to get my UK ATPL (I already had an Australian ATPL)
A very friendly and competent organisation and I would thoroughly recommend them. (I also went on the recommendation of Tinstafl)
And Perth (other than the weather
) has a number of advantages in traffic and airspace congestion.
I was also able to stay, on the airfield, in a very reasonably priced room at the engineering school (sorry - forgotten the name).
