I've been around here for more than 10 years with my family. They never had any problem with border crossing. This only applies to first time entry, visit visa holders and housemaids. Once you get a residence permit - your are a free woman. Things have changed in the Kingdom. Well, in Jeddah. Women still occasionally have some problem in Medina if the flight lands there on the way to Jeddah and they want everybody to pass immigration before continue to final destination. But, anyway, nothing like waiting in a bint tank.
