They won't over-heat on a short runway. Carbon brakes are great.
Not flown the beast since 2001, but on some strips had to really use the brakes to their max ability.
On touch-down, wing-spoilers up and press hard on the brakes and then count 3...2...1. then feel the deceleration.
As long as there were minimal brake applications after that you could keep the temps well below 750 degrees. Even on a 35+ degree day.
On shorter legs, drop the gear a few minutes early and start with a low brake temp in the first place.
