The DGCA is one big maze, babboo, so are its CARS I didn't want to cut and paste the entire CAR concerned....people who are rejected are probably ppl or cpl atpl holders with foreign licenses as the CARS require them to have 10+2.

7.5 CONVERSION OF PILOTS LICENSE ISSUED BY FOREIGN AUTHORITIES
The applicant should have:
(a) Passed 10+2 standard examination with Physics and Mathematics Subjectsfrom a recognized Board / University or its equivalent examination.
(b) Valid Pilots License issued by Foreign Aviation Authority in the category theapplicant desires to appear.

NOTE: The requirements given in Para 7.5 (a) and (b) above should be met atthe time of submission of application for allotment of computer number in case of fresh applicants. In case, the computer number has already been allotted, the applicant should meet these requirements at the time of submission of application forwritten examination.

....but with indian spl, 10 hours and ground school it is probably ok as the minimum for issue of ppl in india is 10th standard

http://dgca.nic.in/schedules/section-f.pdf (this is for chopper)

That's why I wanted ils to double check if there's a way around it with indian spl, flying hours, etc.
