If you had paid attention to the pre flight safety brief you should have noted the bit about turning off electronic devices.
If you read WHBM's post again, he clearly states that the phone was
inadvertently left switched on. We all know the rules and regs and no doubt WHBM adheres to them, but you can't tell him off for ignoring instructions when, at the time, he didn't realise he'd not turned his phone off!
