Mid June through to Mid September the Mahon service runs and during this time the Milan service only runs 6 times weekly and outside this period the Milan service reverts back to 12 times weekly...
Can someone say whether this represents the much-vaunted "20% reduction"? This week anna.aero says that EZY has 293 weekly flights at present, although that is in November rather than July.
That is an extremely good question!
On BBC 3 Counties Radio, earlier this week the CEO of easyJet was the breakfast show and he said the airline would very shortly be announcing "deep cuts" to their services and to staff at LTN. He made a point the services being cut would be beyong the usual seasonal winter cuts we are use to at the airport...
Some people could however say he is using the local radio station, as a soap box to further bully the airport and council into getting what they want.
If you were to believe what he says, I would caution anyone booking flights beyond April or May with the airline from LTN, until a further annoucement is made. As it could be possible you will end up seeing a flight you are booked on being changed or cancelled altogether!
I personally think we could see further cuts from the already published timetable.
