I have over 3000 TT mostly military turbine, and couldn't yet find an opportunity to fly from time to time in order to keep my proficiency, even with a self sponsored type rating. You'll basically need the right type rating plus 300 to 500 hours on type minimum to seduce any operator in the region as their focus is on training and insurance costs.

EK is not the most demanding, I've heard JetOps (they operates the float C208 for seawings) is asking for 5000 hours minimum (beside float experience). Quite a lot to do basic VFR tours at 1500 ft

Anyway, it's a totally different story when you are well connected, I've heard of a 250 hours guy who flies on a Legacy
