AFAIK, Hibernate has to be turned on when 2000 or XP is installed.
<START> <CONTROL PANEL> <POWER OPTIONS> then the hibernate tab, and 'enable hibernation'. Then, as
BFiver says, you can find 'Hibernate' as an option on shutting down if you press the shift key.
