Airport Charges
It seems that easyJet are still very keen to cut a deal with the airport over the charges but there comes a time when the airport authorities have to say enough is enough i.e. Manchester with Ryanair, and say sorry this is what we can offer and that is it. The operator which runs an airport has to make money on its investment to reinvest on infrastructure and to pay a dividend to its shareholders. According to the Sunday papers the deal to sell Gatwick to a Canadian consortium is about to happen for around 1.6 billion pounds and they will want to see a return on their investment quite rightly. I wonder how long it will be when they say to the airlines sorry we have to put up our prices. As I think Gatwick is easy´s largest operational base what will they do then - maybe the deals offered by Stansted and Luton weren´t that bad after all. What do you think Buster being a bit quiet of late.
