Brize not letting you in is a different matter from a MATZ crossing, as they (like Lyneham) do not have a MATZ. They are both Controlled Airspace, Class 'D' (And yes - I've heard both being asked when flying in the area for 'MATZ penetration' - though the 1:500000 southern chart is perfectly clear
